In
communities ranging from New York to Seattle and Milwaukee to
Las Vegas and San Jose, innovative unions are working to build
the high road by joining with progressive community groups and
far-sighted employers in High Road Partnerships. High Road Partnerships
bring together people and organizations that understand that
the low road with low skills and low pay and benefits
-- is not good enough for their communities, their industries,
their neighbors, their families, and their children. They are
committed to actively shaping a future built on good jobs and
strong communities by retaining and expanding existing good
jobs and creating new ones, and by building diversified, stable
regional economies that expand opportunity and provide for a
broadly shared, equitable distribution of wealth.
